It has been analyzed how to establish a regular rectangle net of lighting statistic data. The method of generating contour maps based on this regular net has been given. The lightning contour model of a region can be generated rapidly by this method. Then the lightning contour maps can be formed based on GIS. These are helpful to studying distribution informations of lighting and lightning risk assessment and lightning protection design.
