In this study,we used two radars echo data located at Shenyang and Anshan,respectively,observed during the field experiment of summer convective cloud seeding in Liaoning province for the period of 2002 to 2003 to study the precipitation echo characteristics. The results show that summer precipitation in Liaoning province is mainly caused by the mixed stratiform and convective clouds,especially for heavy rain.
